Tracking count in a distributed database presents an interesting challenge. In Cassandra, at any given moment, the counter value may be stored in the Memtable, commit log, and/or one or more SSTables. Replication between nodes can cause consistency issues in certain edge cases. Cassandra counters were redesigned in Cassandra 2.1 to alleviate some of the difficulties. Because counters are implemented differently from other columns, counter columns can only be created in dedicated tables. A counter column must have the datatype counter data type. This data type cannot be assigned to a column that serves as the primary key or partition key. To implement a counter column, create a table that only includes:- The primary key (can be one or more columns)
- The counter column
Many counter-related settings can be set in the cassandra.yaml file.
A counter column cannot be indexed or deleted.. To load data into a counter column, or to increase or decrease the value of the counter, use the UPDATE command. Cassandra rejects USING TIMESTAMP or USING TTL when updating a counter column.
- Use CREATE TABLE to define the counter and non-counter columns. Use all non-counter columns as part of the PRIMARY KEY definition.
The Quadra 605 is an Apple Macintosh personal computer based on the Motorola 68LC040 CPU released on October 21, 1993 as part of the Quadra series. During development it was code-named “Aladdin” or “Primus”
With an elegant, minimalistic design the Quadra 605 is one of the few Macintosh models that does not share a case with another machine. The internal layout and components are identical to the Apple Macintosh Performa/LC 475 and 476. Production of the Quadra 605 was discontinued on October 17, 1994.

TROUBLESHOOTING
- No video on startup: If you hear the startup chord but video never initializes, the logic board battery is probably dead.
- Temporary workaround: Flip the power switch on and then quickly toggle the switch off and then on again. The system should then boot up normally.
- Solution: Replace the logic board battery with a 3.6v 1200mAh 1/2AA lithium battery
